Dark Chocolate and Orange Overnight Oats

September 29, 2017This recipe is Vegan – Vegetarian – Gluten Free – Dairy Free – Egg Free and Diabetic friendly.
This Almond and Banana Overnight Oats is one of my favourite breakfast’s to date. It’s more like eating a dessert than eating a breakfast.
Ingredients:
1 Airtight container
1/2 Cup (50g) – Rolled Oats (Gluten Free if necessary)
1/3 – Cup (80ml) – Plant Based Milk or any other
1/2 – 1 Tbsp. (7.5-15ml) – Sweetener of your choice
1 Tbsp. (15ml) – Almond Butter
1/2 Cup (150g) – Dairy or Dairy Free Plain Yogurt
1/4 Tsp (1.25ml) – Lemon Juice
1 (120g) – Banana
Method:
• Blend all the ingredients, except for the oats, in a blender or food processor until smooth.
• Mix oats through and garnish with extra almond butter and almond shavings.
• Close lid and refrigerate overnight.
• Enjoy the next day.
Note:
• For a diabetic option, try and use a green banana as it has less sugar.
