December 5, 2017This recipe is Vegan – Vegetarian – Gluten Free – Dairy Free and Egg Free friendly.
These Puffed Rice Chocolate Bars is the ultimate quick and easy treat and even kids can make it. The best part is that you only need 4 ingredients and 2 of those is optional and can be replaced by anything else you prefer.
Ingredients:
2 Cups (40g) – Puffed Rice
1/4 Cup (20g) – Coconut Shavings (See Notes)
1/4 Cup (45g) – Peanuts or nuts of choice (See Notes)
100g – Chocolate of your choice
Method:
• Add all the ingredients in a bowl.
• Melt the chocolate and pour it over.
• Mix well.
• Line a 20×20 cm baking pan or any other you have on hand with parchment paper.
• Add the mixture and press it evenly across the pan.
• Place it in the refrigerator for a couple of hours so it can set fully.
• Cut it into pieces and enjoy.
• Best enjoyed when kept in the refrigerator.
Makes about 6-8 bars
Notes:
• The coconut shavings and nuts can be replaced by anything else you prefer. For instance, dried fruit, seeds, chocolate chips and even jelly beans.
