Try this super delicious Date Caramel if you are looking for a recipe that contains only natural ingredients. Its so good you will eat it from the jar.
1 Cup (150g) – Dates, pitted
1/2 Cup (125ml) – Hot Water
1 Tsp (5ml) – Vanilla Essence
2 – 4 Tbsp. (30 – 60ml) – Coconut Cream
Pinch of Himalayan Salt
• Pour the hot water over the dates and let it soak for about 30 minutes.
• Add the soaked dates and water in a blender or food processor and blend it smooth.
• Add the vanilla essence, coconut cream and salt and blend it through.
• Store the date caramel a resealable glass jar and keep it refrigerated.
• Use within 3-5 days.
Makes about 1 – 1 ¼ Cups
